i vote for anything but everything is illuminated or the last samurai. i've seen both movies and am not a big fan of retreading covered ground. however if everyone else wants to read them i'll go along with it. just putting my $.02 out there.

Thanks Scott. FYI to all, the book listed here, The Last Samurai, is different than the Tom Cruise movie.
Of those listed, I vote for (tie) The Last Samurai or Middlesex or 2)The Know it All.

I vote for the Minotaur Takes a Cigarette Break, followed by The Know-It-All. I actually just finished reading The Amazing Adventures... Great Book!
